Some curb finds are simply reworked and others require much more. When I found this window on the curb I knew exactly what I was going to do with it, and that it would be a simply rework.
It was just as you see it, minus the pictures of course. I did put a coat of clear varnish on it so the old paint wouldn’t flake off. I made 8×10 black and white copies on the printer using some pictures I had. Carefully I put a picture into each window pane using glazing points. The glazing points hold glass into a window. You can find them about anywhere that carries window hardware.
We bought some hooks at Walmart, and put them on centered under each picture. This was a very simple rework. Love those kind!
It now hangs in the entry way at the bottom of the stairs that were featured here. It use to look like this.
Now it looks like this. I love how the window displays pictures of my family and yet is practical for holding coats when we have visitors. Another little perk, is I see it every night as I head up to bed.
We have several more projects to do in the entry. Therefore, I will share each project as it is finished. Consequently a small space can entail a lot of fun, if desired. LOL!! To see the other projects in this entry check here and here
